Of course you may use it as reference! I always find looking at other cosplayers work on a costume makes it so much easier to figure it out yourself.
Hmm, tips...I guess the #1 thing for me is, sew your wig to the hat if possible. It made the wig and the hat stay on much better, and I could get better volume with the ponytail in the back. The only thing is that it makes it a little more difficult to put the wig on. Other than that, it's a pretty simple costume! If you have any questions let me know here or on my FB page (I'm probably more likely to answer over there because I check it more often)
1. basically just some simple measurements, and drawing it on lightly with a pencil. After that some paint that has been watered down a bit. Sorry I can't be much help with that - it was really quick and simple actually
2. Just cut the shape and sewed it to the pockets that already existed in the shorts, so that way they are actually in the spot that pockets would be.
3. I'm pretty sure it's just pink from playing the game and seeing their screen shots - i've seen some people put a pokeball on the bag, but I really don't think there is.
Thanks for the help, even though it looks simple now! See, I decided that I wanted a pokemon costume and since I have no taste for the female trainers from the other games, I decided that the Unova female trainer was good for me. But thanks!
There's some distortion from being so close, and full wide-angle, but that's one way to get everything in. Another way is to zoom in from a distance. You can still fill the frame with the subject, but without the distortion. But the distortion can be a fun effect, as with the boots.
No matter how often I hear it, I still appreciate and am so thankful for everyone who tells me that. It really gives me the motivation to continue what I do. So thank you so much <3
The hat, I bought a white hat and mixed paint until I got the right color, watered it down a bit and just started painting xD As for the shoes, they are just a pair of old Walmart boots that I covered the bottoms in duct tape and painted.
